Fairfield County Retired Teachers Association Teacher Grant Program
The Fairfield County Retired Teachers Association (FCRTA) will provide two grants of $250 each to teachers in the public schools in Lancaster and Fairfield County. The grant program is open to any academic discipline, grade level, or building activity that meets the needs of the students. Teachers are encouraged to complete the application below.
Copies of the grant application will be available in each principal's office and on FCRTA website. The address is: fcrtaohio.weebly.com Click on the Scholarships tab. Applicants should plan closely with the building principal and any other teachers having an interest in this application. The principal’s signature is required for funding.
The deadline for submission of the application is November 1. The grant application should be sent to Toni Miller, 4340 Sand Hill Rd., Amanda, OH 43102, or it can be e-mailed to [email protected]. An e-mail confirmation will be sent upon receipt.
A committee of FCRTA members will evaluate applications and determine the two that shall be funded. Unfunded applications will be kept on file for one year and are eligible for funding during this period should an awarded grant not be used. Applicants who received funding will be notified by the end of February.

It is important that the FCRTA continues to have a strong interest in education and what happens in classrooms. Recipients must submit a brief explanation of how this project impacted the students, and may include pictures to show the implementation. Successful recipients will be invited to attend the June FCRTA luncheon to briefly explain (5-10 minutes) the project and its student impact. FCRTA will provide the luncheon cost.
